Because I keep missing these comments and find out later and feel (not unreasonably) terrible!

You're welcome for the review! For sure, learning how to write a good, honest review is a wip! Thanks for understanding :). I really hope that my thoughts were somewhat constructive/useful for you.

110,000 words is a lot :)! When writers say a book took big cuts I often wonder what the story was like before. I'm so glad that you get to share some pieces in Book 2!

Ha--yeah, Fenton's accent...I think I was a bit overzealous on that point lol. Sorry ^_^'. But that's exciting--more background to get to know the whys/hows of characters=count me in.

I'm sorry that I didn't get back to you :/. I'm going to go look for a comment notification setting now...

They have one AFTER/during a comment that I make, but I need to find one BEFORE. Before...! :)Lynanne Carrollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03446703222017362173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248941205255861619.post-31241779209898163352014-02-19T10:26:25.083-08:002014-02-19T10:26:25.083-08:00Thanks for the Lynanne! I'd been working on Pendomus for over three years when I finally published it last October. During that time, I've had a lot of revisions done to the book. Did you know, it was originally over 110,000 words!? Crazy. But in trying to parse it back to be within the word range for YA, I also think it lost some of it's meat. Luckily, I'm able to pull pieces of it into Book 2 (which I'm LOVING so far). Hopefully you'll like where the story leads and the growth of the characters. (PS - as for Fenton's accent, I do explain why he has one when no one else does. Heehee!) Carissa Andrewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09956041638794014466noreply@blogger.com
